Thunder takes hard fall
MINNEAPOLIS - In frigid Minnesota, where temperatures were in single digits and snow covered the landscape, Randy Foye was on fire.

Foye matched his career high with 32 points to lead the Timberwolves to a 129-87 win over the Thunder on Wednesday night at the Target Center.

Considering how Foye played in two previous meetings, the Villanova product was due to break out against the Thunder.

In two Ford Center games, Foye scored a combined six points and was 2-of-16 from the field. Foye scored seven points the first two minutes of Wednesday's romp. He had 18 after the first quarter, 26 at halftime and drained a career-best six 3-pointers.

"He was (hot)," said Thunder forward Kevin Durant. "He even made shots with a hand in his face. That's what great players do. Give credit to him, but we need to work on getting better, starting tomorrow."

Foye, in his third season, easily would have set a career high if Minnesota (10-25)wasn't well on the way to the second biggest win in the franchise's 20-year history.

The Thunder (5-31) has improved during interim coach Scott Brooks' six-week tenure, but this loss was the most lopsided all season. Minnesota led 73-43 at halftime and was never threatened.

"They came out and stepped on us from the get-go, and it was hard for us to come back," said Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook.
