PLAYER NOTES: --F Corey Brewer is playing on without good friend and former Florida teammate Chris Richard, who was one of the team's three cuts last week that got the Wolves to their 15-player limit. Richard, a second-year forward, was waived along with David Harrison and Ahearn. "Being with someone for five or six years, it's tough," Brewer said. "Every day you're with him and now he's not here anymore. It's a hard business."
--F Kevin Love's father, mother, sister, brother, aunt and uncle attended his NBA debut. Yes, that uncle: Beach Boys singer Mike Love.
--G Kevin Ollie played 16 minutes as Randy Foye's backup because Sebastian Telfair is suspended for the first three games. He played all but two minutes of the fourth quarter while Foye sat until 2:28 left in Wednesday's game.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--C Jason Collins is expected to begin contact practice on Thursday or Friday after missing the entire preseason because of an elbow that required September surgery after he was involved in a golf cart accident.
