--Second-year G Randy Foye missed the season's first three months, but he ended it with a flourish, scoring a career-high 32 points in Wednesday's season finale. He outscored Milwaukee 10-7 himself in overtime of a 110-101 comeback victory at Target Center.
Foye didn't play a game until Jan. 29 at Chicago. The Wolves were 8-35 then, 14-25 thereafter. "I don't think it's a coincidence that the second half of the year is when we started winning games," Wolves coach Randy Wittman said. "Having another option out there to make that quick decision, that's what winning games feels like. And we didn't have that."
Foye finished the season by playing his best basketball in the season's final two weeks. He scored 20 or more points in three of the final five games and had a season-high nine assists in a loss Tuesday at Detroit.
"It has been a long two years for me," he said. "A lot of ups and downs. Lots of down spots, but it was great to end like that. I played well here at the end. That gives you confidence going into next season."

The Wolves on Wednesday introduced a "Pay the Pick" promotion, based upon the team's place in the May draft lottery. If they land the No. 1 overall pick, a season ticket costs $43 (41 regular-season games, two preseason). If they get the No. 2 pick, that season ticket costs $86. And so on.
The team said it will sell 500 such season tickets. It took 150 non-refundable deposits of $43 during Wednesday's season finale overtime victory over Milwaukee.
