--Wolves guard Randy Foye did not make the two-game trip to California that ends Wednesday at Golden State.
There's a decent chance Foye has played his final game this season because of an injured hip that bothered him all of March. "I'd like him to try a couple different things we've talked about," Wolves coach Kevin McHale said. "I'd say as of right now, it doesn't look promising."
Foye said he expects to try to play Saturday's home game against Phoenix.
"I still want to play," he said. "It's just something I'm trying to fight through. I'll see what I can do against Phoenix. If it's still sore and hurts, I guess I'll have to shut it down."
--Oklahoma sophomore Blake Griffin's entry into the draft might leave Wolves fans figuring this will be the year their team finally will win the No. 1 pick because Griffin is considered a natural power forward, a position where the Wolves already have Jefferson and Love.
Asked if he thought all three could play together, Love said, "That's hard to say. Myself and Al, we play similar roles and games. Whoever gets No. 1 has to take him. He's a beast. You've just got to take him because he's so talented."
Love didn't play much against Griffin growing up in AAU ball because Love was nationally acclaimed since he was in junior high and Griffin didn't bloom until his final two years of high school.
But Love knows all about him.
"How can you not?" Love asked. "He's on TV all the time."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "It's funny, but it's not the first time I've heard that. I remember when the Blazers weren't making the playoffs back home in Portland, the fans were hoping for that. So it's not new to me. You hope for the best in the lottery, but you can't worry about that." -- Wolves rookie Kevin Love, on the juxtaposition of trying to win games when the team's fans are rooting for losses to improve lottery chances.
