--Wolves vice president of basketball operations Kevin McHale is an infrequent traveler on the team's road trips -- until the last four days, that is. McHale accompanied the team to Oklahoma City the day after Thanksgiving and now is on a three-game Eastern swing that takes the Wolves to Orlando on Wednesday and New Jersey on Friday.

"This is what Larry does," Wittman said. "He's a lifer and he's good at what he does. It doesn't surprise me that it happened, not in the least."
And to Wittman the Bobcats look just like all of Brown's many, many other NBA teams.
"He's trying to instill a lot of movement, a lot of passing and pretty basic defense," Wittman said. "Not a lot of trapping or rotating or gimmick stuff, just a basic kind of game. But you can see it how this team played last year and how they played this year."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "I knew something was wrong because Corey asked to come out and Corey never asks to come out." -- Wolves coach Randy Wittman on when Corey Brewer fell Saturday against Denver and went briefly to the locker room with what teammates thought was a sprained ankle. Monday, he was declared done for the season because of a torn knee ligament.
