Brewer called it his most memorable dunk as a pro but only put it among his top three all time. Assistant coach Reggie Theus said it was clearly a charge, but it was such a phenomenal feat he was glad the officials let it go.

"I had a couple of pretty good ones back in the high school, in the (Tennessee) state semifinals," he said.

Never mind that the Wolves coaches analyzed the game tape and concluded the play was clearly a charge.

"It was still a charge, but, hey, the referees got caught watching the game, I guess," Theus said. "It was a phenomenal play regardless. I'm glad they didn't call it."

The way Theus saw it, Brewer put his knee in Fisher's chest as Fisher tried to draw the charge and used the contact to propel him even higher in the air.

"He got a little boost," Theus said.

Somebody asked Wolves coach Kurt Rambis if he had taught Brewer that dunk.

"Not in my wildest imaginations," he said. "It was fairly impressive."

During a break in the action a few minutes after Brewer's flying act, Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant approached and said something.

What did he say?

"He said, 'Nice dunk,'" Brewer said with a smile before the Wolves' game Saturday night at Sacramento.

KINGS 120, WOLVES 100: One night after they so gamely contested the Lakers in Los Angeles, the Wolves got run out of Arco Arena after they tried to keep pace with a Kings team more than happy to do so.

The Wolves allowed 64 points by halftime and 97 by the end of three quarters. By then, Wolves forward Kevin Love laid on his back on the court in frustration until Kings guard Beno Udrih and Sacramento's assistant coach finally lifted him up.

The Wolves, led by Al Jefferson's 26-point, 11-rebound double-double, tied the franchise mark for worst start after 24 games with a 3-21 record that ties the 2007-08 team's start. That was the first season after the team traded Kevin Garnett.

Jason Thompson led the Kings with 23 points and 12 rebounds and Tyreke Evans had 18 points, five rebounds and five assists.
