About 5,000 of those folks were wearing replica eyeglasses like the oh-so-fashionable ones Rambis wore when he played for the Lakers long ago.

Anything, apparently, to draw a crowd these days to Target Center, where the Wolves on Friday lost their 15th consecutive game and still haven't won a game since opening night on Oct. 28.

Too bad every pair of glasses had clear lenses and wasn't rose-colored.

Everybody from assistant coach Reggie Theus to the Timberwolves dancers and Kevin Love was wearing them.

(Theus wore them in the locker room before the game; Love wore them as he sat behind the bench while his fractured left hand continues to heal.)

A few ambitious sorts even modified theirs by wrapping athletic tape over the bridge of the nose.

But here's the truth:

There never was any tape on Rambis' glasses.

"I've even had people argue with me," he said. "It was a piece of protective rubber that somehow when it was photographed or when you saw it under the lights appeared to be white because of the reflection. It was a piece of rubber."

SUNS 120, WOLVES 95: The Wolves lost their 15th consecutive game -- one shy of tying a franchise record -- and this one was almost over before it started. The Suns are the only NBA team that has scored at least 100 points in every game this season, and they reached that mark with 8:47 minutes left in the game. They led by 10 after one quarter, by 21 at halftime and by as many as 32 points in the second half. Jason Richardson led the Suns with 22 points, and none of their starters played in the fourth quarter. The Suns shot nearly 60 percent against the Wolves, who have allowed 100 or more points in eight of their 16 games. Ramon Sessions led the Wolves with 23 points off the bench.
